about Aline

Registered Yoga Teacher, CT State Licensed Massage Therapist

Aline has been sharing Thai massage and Jin Shin Acutuoch since 2009 and learned both at the esteemed and former International School of Bodywork (IPSB)  in San Diego, Ca, which at the time was one of the top 5 massage therapy schools in the country. She trained under Dr. Richard Gold who was instrumental in bringing Thai Massage into the United States from Thailand. Dr. Gold is one of the four founders of the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and one of the founders of IPSB as well.  Aline found her love of Thai massage in big part to training under Kristina Eberle HHP who was a lead teacher at IPSB and also taught Thai at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego.

Aline learned Jin Shin Acutouch through Barbara Clark who was one of the founders of IPSB and developed Jin Shin Acutouch in 1978 after extensive training in Jin Shin Jytsu. under Mary Burmeister who brought this sacred art into the USA from Japan.

Aline currently holds her Usui Reiki 2 certification and trained with Kathleen Kweskin, Reiki master, massage therapist, yoga teacher and owner of Grow Wellness in Ridgefield, CT.

She learned the art of meditation and how to work with energy from her dog Truth Lightening who is a master meditator and healer. Truth was our therapy dog for The Newtown Yoga Center. He left his physical body on November 10th, 2021 after almost 14 years as a master yogi dog and meditator. His presence is missed beyond compare, his legacy of love and joy at the studio lives on.
