200 hour Yoga Teacher Training

Looking take your practice to the next level?

Join a legion of love. Uplevel your human experience and with this anatomically focused, trauma and neurodivergent informed yoga teacher training. Teach yourself the skills and tools you need to live life authentically, learn how to guide your body out of stress states effectively, build strength on the inside and outside you didn’t know possible. Your own body and life, working, healthy, well, strong is the model you teach from. You have to live your yoga off the mat to be an ambassador and teacher of peace. We aren’t here to get anything “ right”, we are here to learn from each other. Teacher and student are interchangable.

Curriculum

History

There is a level high of emotional maturity and collective respect for the practice and your fellow classmates required as well as the availability to absorb and reflect on significant content relative to the anatomical reality and challenges that the human spirit endures and has endured since the dawn of time. We will go over historical content and how it does and does not reflect the needs of modern society today.

Philosophy

This is a professional course for a mature audience dedicated to understanding how yoga and mindfulness can appropriately and safely be taught to the general public and special populations of all ages and backgrounds. This training is trauma informed, aware and respectful, for yourself and others.

Postures

We are working through generational and systemic nervous system evolution and cycles during this training. Sometimes things come up. As you learn how to tailor the poses to meet your body, not the other way around, you’ll develop skills to support your self and build the " muscles" and inner resources to support your community. This is part of our practice and training on understanding scope of practice and limitations.

Anatomy

You'll learn in depth anatomy, biology and neurobiology through the vehicle of the body by way of yoga asana and philosophy, theory and inspired yogic teachings. From first hand experience you'll be able to share with your clients, patients and students these yogic inspired tools to empower them to better function and thrive in their daily life.

Intelligent Sequencing

Teachers from this training are prepared to meet each body where they are and teach people, not just poses. You will learn as a teacher to reach almost any population and have the skilled yoga "toolset" to do so effectively. There is a strong focus on learning about the psychology of yoga as it pertains to supporting each student, trauma and teaching to special populations. This training is trauma aware and neurodivergent informed.  Extreme care is taken to support your learning style and help you deeply understand the anatomical magic and motor functioning of the body with attention to the tenderness and magnificent capacity of the human spirit.

Pranayama

The breath is a hot topic these days. The ancients knew it was the gateway to deeper connection to self and others. We will explore traditional breath techniques in addition to more modern ones, weaving in the mindfulness and trauma informed skills to know when to use the breath for support and when it’s best to let the body wisely find it’s own rhythm.
