You'll need to bring your own yoga mat - there are not loaners at the studio and if you like, a bottle of water. What to wear? track pants or long shorts you can stretch in, a t-shirt or tank top, wearing layers is always recommended as body temp might fluctuate. This course is for men specifically (both biologically and those who identify as male) who have never done yoga asana (poses) or practice or those with experience who appreciate a slower paced alignment detailed class. Participants will learn from the ground up how to find alignment and breathing techniques in the poses using props based on each individuals unique anatomical availabilities and challenges This is an inclusive, educational class, conversations and questions about the practice are welcomed. The learning environment is nonjudgemental, light hearted, and meant to give men a space dedicated to understanding and working with with chronic muscular tension and stress that is unique to the male experience (biological and identified). This course will be taught by Neal DeYoung who is a graduate of our Modern Hatha School of Yoga teacher training program. Neal is a lawyer turned yogi and has been practicing yoga for more than a decade. His focus is primarily on the anatomical mechanics and the breath. NOTE: Please book with certainty. There are no refunds, make ups, returns or exchanges on unused, unattended, missed or forgotten in studio classes.
